Access: Written permission from the Army is required
Hazards:In some areas the ridge is quite narrow and exposed with steep drop-offs on both sides.

Directions to trailhead:(from Honolulu) Take H-1 west to Pearl City. Take the H-2 freeway to Wahiawa. As the freeway ends continue on Rte 99 north bypassing Wahiawa. Turn left onto Kunia Road at the first traffic light. At the next light turn right and enter Schofield Barracks through Foote Gate. Take the next left then a right onto Lyman Road. Stay on Lyman for several miles then make a left onto Trimble Road which becomes Kolekole Road. As you approach the Kolekole Pass gate turn left and park in a dirt lot.

Hike directions:Proceed on foot and cross Kolekole Road. Ascend a dirt road. Scramble up a steep eroded slope until you gain the ridge line. Follow the ridge line all the way to the summit.

Hike description:A challenging hike for experts only featuring superb views, some native flora and perhaps a rare tree snail or two.
