Access:
Directions to trailhead:Head north on Pali Hwy, turn off at Nuuanu Pali Road, go past houses, S-turn and stop at bridge (resevior on the left). Trailhead is on the right.

Hike directions: Trailhead descends to Nuuanu Stream. Cross stream into bamboo grove, follow trail to the right and ascend to Norfolk Island tree grove. Trail follows right hand side of open area, past jackass Ginger Pool (to the right below), curves left through Hau bush and slowly ascends to a second Norfolk Island Pine grove. This point is the terminus of the Nuuanu Trail from the ridge slope above. Continue left (clockwise) and cross rivulet, follow trail through open area back to the first Norfolk Island Pine grove. Turn right and return downhill to the stream and trailhead.

Hike description:The Judd Memorial Trail, locally known as the Jackass Ginger Trail for the Jackass Ginger Pool, is a short, family hike with the option of stopping at the pool for a dip. 

Hazards: Note: be cautious of potential infections caused by Giardia and Leptospirosis. Do not swim if you have an open wound or cut.
