A $2.00 donation is requested for each non-member, age 18 or over. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
For hikes, we meet at Iolani Palace, mountain side, at 8 a.m. unless otherwise noted. For trail maintenance, please call the leader for meeting place and time. Please sign our release and abide by our rules.
Transportation is not provided!! However, you are welcome to arrange your own. You are cautioned not to leave valuables in parked cars.
Bring lunch and water on all hikes. Wear sturdy shoes and clothing. Extra caution may be required on some trails. Hikers are responsible for themselves at all times.
Keep trails and lunch sites free of litter; treat trees and plants with respect and care. ALWAYS be careful with fire, matches and cigarettes
Many HTMC hikes require special permission. For trails open to the public, refer to the State Forestry map.
Firearms, pets, radios, and other audio devices are prohibited on hikes.

A diverse trail that starts up a ridge then drops down to Koloa
Stream. After navigating numerous stream crossings, we arrive
at our lunch spot. A gorgeous waterfall beckons you to cool off
and frolic in her plunge pool. Hazards: slippery rocks; flash

A good hike for beginners. A short stroll on the 'Aiea Loop Trail
to a side trail in the paperbark forest leads us down to the lower
section of the loop trail. The hike will bring us to the camp
grounds and a short hike up the road back to our cars. Coordinators

The hike starts on the Moanalua Valley road to the marker 12 post,
a steep climb up a ridge connects to the Tripler ridge. Hike to
the top of the ridge for a fantastic view of the windward coast.

Expect slippery rocks and wet feet as this hike takes us into
the bowels(heart) of the Koolaus. We wind past towering rock
dikes as the gulch narrows. Be sure to stop at the first waterfall

Variety is the name of this hike. We start streamside and stroll
to the pines. Then a huff and a puff takes us to a contoured
trail above Pauoa. Finally a skip across the Paperbark roots opens
out to a vista of Nuuanu Valley from downtown to the Pali and

Venture into a time warp as we view trails on all of our islands
as Mr. Baker experienced them in the early days. With Thelma as
our trail coordinator, try to identify the island and the trail

our smoker so join the mostly single folk for a Thanksgiving day
