This taxing trail tests your mettle and determination. It climbs STEEPLY and repeatedly over two valley ridges, before joining a contour trail paralleling an old water ditch. It's a trail that you'll want to do at least once (but probably only once!) There are numerous junctions, so watch closely for trail ribbons, because you sure don't want to do it TWICE!.Coordinator Darrell Teruya, phone 227-4572.Nov 5 Sat 8AM LIKEKE

(6 Mi/Intermediate/Ridge/Kuli'ou'ou)
A wonderful loop trail encircling Kuli'ou'ou Valley. Some portions are steep, some are narrow, and some balance along the spine of the Ko'olau summit. The views are spectacular, including a bird's eye view of the Clubhouse. The recurring question is...will it be clockwise or counterclockwise this year? Extra caution is required in some spots. Coordinator Mike Algiers, ph 422-1048.Nov 19 Sat 9AM MEMBERS ONLY PALEHUA RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: LIMIT OF 15
No Meeting @ Palace - Meet @ Makakilo Community Center on Makakilo Drive

(14 Mi/Advanced/Contour/Pearl City)

Wear comfortable shoes so you can enjoy your walk back. Sorry, there are no short cuts on the way back! Coordinator Clayton Kong, ph 545-2467.Dec 10 Sat 8AM KA'ENA POINT
(4 Mi/Novice/Shoreline/Ka'ena)
Although, Ka'ena means oven, at this time of year Ka'ena Point can be a very mellow, windy, wild coastline hike taking you past the famed jumping-off rock of the spirits into the netherworld, finishing at the northernmost point with a lone automated lighted beacon beneath Peacock flats. Coordinator Phil Booth, ph 488-1161.Dec 11 Sun 8AM MEMBERS ONLY DUPONT
