Hawaiian Trail and Mountain Club

ANNUAL RESUME, MARCH 1998

Since the last Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors has conducted the regular business of the Club.

Trail access through private property as well as permission to hike on private property continues to be a problem. Efforts to obtain the insurance required for access permission have been unsuccessful.

Clubhouse operations and maintenance has been ongoing but the anticipated expenses of termite treatment and roof repair will require special funding. Membership approval is needed to implement funding for these Clubhouse expenses. The Board of Directors recommends membership approval to waive this year's transfer to the Clubhouse Replacement Fund and Preservation Fund in order to maintain HTMC's checking account balance for the above mentioned Clubhouse repairs. THIS MEANS AN IMPORTANT ISSUE NEEDS TO BE VOTED ON AT THIS ANNUAL MEETING.

Two (2) Directors positions need to filled by election this year. Nominations will be taken from the floor.

MARCH 97 $3.000 transferred to the Clubhouse Replacement Fund

$1,000 transferred to the Preservation Fund

MAY 97 Thelma Grieg honored as "Living Treasure of Kaimuki"

HTMC Web Site initiated.

JULY 97 Jay Feldman and Alex Broadfoot successfully complete installation
of the Clubhouse fire sprinkler system, smoke detectors and fire
extinguishers.

OCTOBER 97 Schedule Committee will start having "Super Hikes".

Fond Aloha to Bill Carrico after 10 years as Clubhouse Chair

NOVEMBER 97 Successful fourth annual Thanksgiving Get Together

DECEMBER 97 Don Kauber, volunteers as Clubhouse Caretaker
